Information

SwyxWare V6.10 - New Functions
New in this version is the direct linking of mobile devices into SwyxWare with the help of the MobileExtensionManager. A new SIP telephone SwyxPhone S315 can also be used with this version.
Both the telephony client SwyxIt! and the SwyxWare-Administration permit authentication with user name and password, in addition to the Windows user account.
The SwyxWare Web-Administration enables a SwyxPhone user to change his own configuration, for example.
From this version, all files (including all user-specific files) are stored in the database. According to the size of these files, a specific version of the SQL servers must be used (MSDN, SQL 2005 express oder SQL Server 2005).
The users' call permissions and function authorizations are grouped in configurable feature profiles. The users are likewise also assigned administration profiles.
MobileExtensionManager
This component allows the use of SwyxWare functions from a mobile device. Communication is by means of function codes from a mobile device. This telephone thus becomes integrated like an internal SwyxPhone in the SwyxWare, and offers many of the SwyxWare features.
SwyxIt! Mobile
SwyxIt! Mobile is software that a user can install on his mobile device. It conveniently enables access to the MobileExtensionManager and thus use of the SwyxWare functions from a mobile phone or PDA.
SwyxPhone S315
With SwyxPhone S315, a new and convenient SIP telephone is available for connection to SwyxServer. SwyxPhone S315 offers integration in SwyxWare, so that all the familiar SwyxWare functions are also available on this phone, such as Call Swap, Hold, Redial, Call Forwarding, Caller Lists, Handsfree and Three-way Conference. Convenience functions such as status signaling as with SwyxPhone Lxxx, group calls, call signaling to other subscribers and call pickup are possible as usual.
SwyxPhone S315 in this version does not have CTI capability, i.e. SwyxPhone S315 cannot be remotely controlled by a SwyxIt!.
SwyxPhone L420p, SwyxPhone L520p
The SwyxPhone family has been expanded by two variants, SwyxPhone L420p and SwyxPhone L520p. SwyxPhone L420p has the same functional range as SwyxPhone L420e extended with an additional switch and the headset connection. SwyxPhone L520p offers the same scope as SwyxPhone L420p but has automatic LCD button labeling.
SwyxWare Web-Administration
To ensure the access of a provider's customer to his SwyxServer, the SwyxWare Web-Administration is available. The customer's administrator can use this to create and edit new users on his hosted SwyxServer.
SwyxWare V6.10 - Extended and Enhanced Features
User-specific Files in the Database
All user-specific files, such as ring tones, skins, announcements or Call Routing scripts, are stored from this version in the SwyxServer database and no longer, as previously, in the SwyxServer file system (share).
You can check before an update whether an existing SwyxWare database will still be adequate after updating, or whether installation of a new database is advisable.
Logon with user and password
SwyxIt! can now log on to the SwyxServer with the user name and a password; the use of the Windows user account for authentication is retained, but is no longer strictly necessary.
This new form of authentication can be used for the administrator for access via the SwyxWare-Administration too.
Administration profiles
The various administration rights are no longer defined by the membership of various Windows user groups (Version 6.0x), but by administration profiles.
Feature Profiles
The functions of SwyxWare (e.g. SwyxFax, Call Routing Manager) that a user may use are defined in a feature profile. The SwyxWare administrator can specify later which of the functions included in this profile will actually be made available to the user.
Recordings
Voice recordings which are initiated by the telephony client can be stored e.g. on the server. Dummies such as the user name can be used here for the saving of the voice recording.
Call limitation between locations
It is now possible to limit the number of calls between two locations, and thereby adapt to the bandwidth of the connection.
User Import Tool
With the help of this program, it is possible to import users from LDAP directories or from an Excel file into the SwyxWare.
ISDN profiler

This program helps you to check the ISDN configuration on your line, and advises about possible misconfigurations.
